“MY MISSION IS TO HELP FOSTER TEENS BECOME INDEPENDENT & HELP
THEM BECOME CHAMPIONS FOR THEIR OWN JOURNEYS”
– FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT BOBBY CANIPE

WHO WE ARE

Fostering Champions is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Our vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves abandoned and neglected by the public, along with aiding aging out children to help prevent them from becoming homeless. We collaborate with individuals, companies, and community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.

HOW WE STARTED

In 2021, Fostering Champions was founded by Bobby Canipe, a once foster child with a vision to help others like him. Bobby grew up being shuttled from one house to another, with only a garbage bag to hold his things. Throughout his childhood he was in a total of 10 homes, until one day being adopted by his forever family. The trajectory of Bobby’s life changed that day. Now it is his life’s mission to encourage and help other children that are going through the same system he did. By fostering love, champions, and a future.
After telling others about his vision, he was inspired by his friends and family to use his ambition not only to Foster 10 kids himself, but to also help others and start a new organization. Bobby’s vision for Fostering Champions is now becoming even more of a reality because of every generous donation.

FOSTERING CHAMPIONS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO TRANSFORMING THE WAY YOUTH NAVIGATE THROUGH THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEMS & ADULT LIFE BY TRANSFORMING THE HOMELESS INTO HEROES.

The foster care system can be a confusing and sometimes disheartening place, but through our fundraising and network of passionate volunteers, we strive to give children in foster care a brighter future, a sense of normalcy and belonging. We have multiple programs and volunteer opportunities so each individual or group can select the right fit for them.
Our initiatives include: Blessing Baskets, Tech Connect, Transport Support, Mentor Programs, and our largest initiative yet, Homes for the Homeless. A plan to make housing available for youth that have aged out of the foster care program, leaving them with no place to go. But with the help of our passionate volunteers and the support of our generous donors, we are striving to give each child in foster care a brighter future.
